Dropbox vs SyncDocs

Should you use Dropbox or SyncDocs?

If you don’t require much cloud storage (1-2GB), DropBox offers more flexibility. But if you require more than the given storage for free accounts (and don’t mind paying for more space), SyncDocs is a far better deal.

Here’s the numerical breakdown:

DropBox (link):
2GB for free (no limit on number of files/folders)
50GB for USD 9.99/month
100GB for USD 19.99/month

SyncDocs (link) using Google storage (link):
1GB for free (250 - 10000 files limit)
20GB for USD 5.00/year
80GB for USD 20.00/year

Premium version of SyncDocs to have unlimited number of files costs USD 19.95 (9.95 if you purchase before 30 Sept 2011)

Note that SyncDocs taps on your Google storage account, which is shared among all your Google services. (eg. Picasa, Gmail, Docs, etc)

Making a direct price comparison for 100GB for a year:
DropBox = 19.99 x 12 = USD 239.88
SyncDocs = 19.95 + 25.00 = USD 44.95 (81% savings!!)
